Call for Submissions: 2012 Juried Arts Exhibit
Our annual Juried Arts Exhibit invites Duke Divinity School students, faculty, staff and immediate family to submit art to be considered for prizes as determined by an outside juror. The theme for 2012 is "Food and Faith," based on Norman Wirzba's book of the same title. This theme can be interpreted broadly to engage issues of Christian unity, social justice, creation care, gender, race, inter-religious dialogue, etc. Submissions will be due at the end of February (exact date TBA). More information can be found by downloading our submission guidelines here. A submission form will be required with each submission and can be downloaded here.
| About Us
We are painters and singers, dancers and textile artists, woodworkers and storytellers, poets and instrumentalists, art lovers and more. Our members and supporters are students, faculty, staff, and many others outside the Divinity School community. We desire to encourage the creative use of and theological engagement with artistic talent in churches and their surrounding communities. Our events range from art exhibits within the Divinity School to coffeehouses, special lectures and discussions, and more. This is a place for dreamers and thinkers alike, unified in a love of beauty as a reflection of God's redemptive work in the world.
